How Our Network Works

Who You Talk To
You talk to an independent concrete provider in our network. Selectedminimum Concrete makes the introduction. After that, the conversation is between you and the provider.
What Happens on the Call
Expect a few simple questions. What are you building? About how big is the area? Is the ground flat or sloped? Is there an old slab to remove? Have a rough idea of your budget ready. Many providers can respond quickly, but availability varies, so request a callback to check provider availability.
Most providers will want to see the site before they give a firm price. That is normal.
What to Ask a Contractor
Good questions save money later. Try these:
- Is your quote in writing, and does it cover the whole slab?
- How thick will the concrete be, and will it have rebar or mesh?
- How will you prep and compact the base?
- How will water drain away from the house?
- What is the plan for joints, sealing and curing?
- Are you licensed and insured where required? Can I see proof?
- What is the payment schedule?
You Are in Control
You do not have to accept any quote. Compare written quotes from more than one provider. Look at what is included, not just the bottom line. A low number that leaves out base prep or removal can end up costing more.
Take your time. There is no obligation to hire anyone you speak with.
